MATCHAMON Asakusa Hanayashiki Street
The second Japanese outpost of MATCHAMON, a Kyoto matcha-stand brand whose first shop sits near Nijo Castle; the Asakusa branch opened on Hanayashiki-dori in April 2026. The house rule is that only Japanese-grown matcha meeting international quality standards goes into the drinks, served from a compact ground-floor counter on the lane running between the back of Senso-ji and the old Hanayashiki amusement park. It opens at nine, earlier than most of the neighbourhood, which makes it a workable first stop before the temple grounds fill up. The launch was marked with a self-whisking matcha course paired with daifuku by the mochi artist FEUWA.
